Our Classroom |

|
Our Classroom was built in 1969. Inside houses our school desks, the chalkboard, computers (one for every child) a white board and many literacy and mathematical resources. Externally you can see a beautiful mural that was painted by our community and staff members in 2004. A new air conditioner has been installed for our comfort! Many thanks to our hard working P and C members! |

As a K-6 classroom we strive to provide a bright stimulating, colourful classroom environment where the children feel success and challenges every day. Children are grouped in a variety of ways to cater for age, ability, interests and level of development. We are able to offer an individualised program for each student, and cater for the acceleration for those students that require additional challenge and advancement beyond their stage. While focussing on the basics of English and Maths, our program covers all the Key Learning Areas (KLA’s). We strive to integrate technology into all KLA’s, with children having individual access to a computer in the room and also use of an interactive whiteboard. The teaching Principal is supported by a teacher/Librarian, Teacher’s Aide Special, technology teacher, and various Departmental personnel. Parents can often be seen helping out in the classroom and around the school. In developing the whole child, we endeavour to use Quality Teaching Practices to make learning a meaningful, practical, valuable and fun experience.
